台南孔廟老榕送別會 下周舉行

〔自由時報記者孟慶慈／台南報導〕孔廟枯死的百年老榕樹預定八月下旬移除，民間愛樹人士與團體認為存在超過一世紀的老榕，是市民的共同記憶，不該默默的移走，下週要以音樂會方式辦送別會，讓對老榕有情感者來見最後一面。

送百年老榕最後一程獲孔廟管理委員會認同，送別會暫定在八月十四或十五日，相關細節本週會定案。

發起老榕樹送別會的老樹協進會發起人李文雄表示，自己家離孔廟近，從小在老榕樹下玩彈珠、橡皮筋，納涼、散步等，度過快樂時光，對老榕樹的感情很深，捨不得老榕樹默默被移除，才與其他愛樹人士一起提議辦送別會。

李文雄表示，存在超過百年的老榕樹，見證過孔廟百年來春、秋祭孔典禮，濃蔭為大家遮去炙熱陽光，曾有「杏壇夏蔭」的美稱；但如今連同枯死的百年老榕，孔廟共凋零了五株老榕樹，實在讓人唏噓。

李文雄指出，百年老榕在民國九十六年染上褐根病，一○一年文化局與民間團體曾聯合辦祈福茶會，可惜老榕還是走了，辦送別會是想表達人與樹的情感以及所帶來的文化內涵。
