【綜合報導】敘利亞政府軍最近針對荷姆斯(Homs)與阿勒波(Aleppo)等武裝叛軍聚集的城市展開猛攻，多名「敘利亞自由軍」(Free Syria Army)的領導者在交戰中陣亡，其中包括5月時生吃政府軍士兵屍首而聞名的自由軍頭目薩卡爾(Abu Sakkar)。

薩卡爾是在上月30日(周二)的交火中，遭到政府軍擊斃。今年5月14日由敘利亞流出的一段影片中，薩卡爾當眾剖開一具敘利亞政府軍士兵的屍體，挖出他的心臟，並一口咬下，這段影片曝光不只震驚國際，連他的盟軍、敘利亞內部各派反抗軍都對此表示譴責，但薩卡爾事後表示，因為他在這名士兵身上搜出的行動電話哩，看到這名士兵自拍的一段施暴影片，他才對士兵的屍體採取如此行為。
