IS聖戰約翰出身富裕家庭

惡名昭彰的恐怖組織「伊斯蘭國」（Islamic State，IS）劊子手「聖戰士約翰」（Jihadi John），真實身分終於曝光。美國《華盛頓郵報》獨家報導，此人本名「穆罕默德．艾姆瓦齊」（Mohammed Emwazi），年紀不到30歲，出身英國首都倫敦的一個中產階級家庭，擁有大學學歷，主修電腦程式。

IS從去年8月開始，上網公布以斬首方式處決多名人質的影片，在這些極端殘酷的畫面中，經常可以看到一名全身黑衣的蒙面劊子手，以純正的倫敦腔英語冷酷發言，警告美國、英國、日本等對抗IS的國家，媒體稱這名劊子手為「聖戰士約翰」。

《華盛頓郵報》指出，艾姆瓦齊生於科威特，在倫敦西區長大，家境不錯，受過高等教育，畢業於西敏寺大學（University of Westminster），經常到倫敦的格林威治區（Greenwich）的一座清真寺禮拜，2012年前往敘利亞，加入IS。

艾姆瓦齊的朋友透露，他是在2009年之後才變得激進。當時他剛從大學畢業，和兩個朋友前往東非的坦尚尼亞（Tanzania），準備進行狩獵旅行（safari）。艾姆瓦齊一行人在5月抵達坦國第一大城沙蘭港（Dar es Salaam），但不知為何卻被警方逮捕、拘留、遣返。

隔年，英國反恐當局曾經拘留艾姆瓦齊，搜查他的物品，並留下他的指紋資料。
