美東創新低溫美中冰風暴肆虐

嚴寒肆虐，美國東部數個城市16日創下新低溫紀錄，美國中部數州則因冰風暴而陷入癱瘓。

冰風暴從南部大平原向東前進，16日重創密蘇里、阿肯色、伊利諾南部、田納西、肯德基、印第安納、俄亥俄七州。

紐約氣溫創下新低，來到華氏5度（攝氏零下15度），之前紀錄為2003年2月16日的華氏9度，華府特區則來到華氏6度，改寫1987年的華氏11度。
