遠傳電信今日（29）對外宣布，截至8月底4G用戶數突破25萬，市佔奪全台第一。不過他們的競爭對手卻不這麼認為。

台灣大哥大今晚針對此事發表聲明如下：

1.遠傳電信使用錯誤的數字、用推估方式代替同業發表4G八月底的用戶數，台灣大哥大認為極為不妥。
2.台灣大認為所有用戶數應依NCC公告數字為準，遠傳片面宣布自行的統計數字，在無法查核的情況下造成外界混淆，台灣大亦不表認同。
3.目前4G用戶數以發出Sim卡的數量作統計，但這未必代表真正的4G用戶數，4G Sim卡應搭配4G手機使用，方能反映真正使用情況。
