成大研究台灣自閉症人數只有歐美1/10

成大環境醫學研究所特聘教授郭浩然統計台灣近年自閉症兒童，發現雖然人數連年增加，但與歐美先進國家相比，發生率只有1/10；不過，這項結果不代表台灣人比較不會有自閉症，而是診斷率比起先進國家落後許多，值得關注。

郭浩然與嘉義基督教醫院復健科、長榮大學企管系合作，統計2004到2009年3到17歲領有泛自閉症障礙殘障手冊的人數，發現個案數連年增加，從2004年的3995人，2009年增到7479人，盛行率在所有年齡層都逐年增加。
