（中央社華盛頓14日綜合外電報導）美國國會議員正力促歐巴馬政府，強化與台灣的關係，並對美國國防預算削減可能會影響到台灣F-16戰機升級計畫表達憂慮。

美聯社報導，眾議院外交委員會的民主黨和共和黨國會議員，今天都指控歐巴馬政府更重視美國與中國大陸關係，而非美台關係，特別是在軍售議題上。

外委會民主黨最資深議員恩格爾（Eliot Engel）表示，他對有關美國空軍明年升級F-16型戰機計畫的經費將斷炊，深感憂慮。恩格爾說，這可能會影響到台灣以「合理成本」，推動升級其大約150架F-16型戰機的能力。

美國國務院亞太副助理國務卿梅健華（Kin Moy）告訴國會議員，美國於2011年批准的台灣戰機升級計畫，不會明顯受影響。(中央社)
