日本王宮備妥了松、竹、梅等盆景，迎接新年。

日本王宮宮內廳在王宮和天皇御所佈置的「春飾」，有松、竹、梅的盆栽，盆栽根部用苔蘚和白砂裝飾。

盆栽還搭配了福壽草、千兩和萬兩等象徵好兆頭的植物。有的大型盆栽高達兩公尺。宮內廳一共準備了二十個盆景。其中還包括樹齡超過一百五十年的老梅樹。

為了能在新年欣賞到紅白相間，花開三分的梅花，梅樹還放在溫室裡，用爐子調節溫度。
