身為HBL南部強權，新榮高中一向人才濟濟，每年都有不少「遺珠」無法被登錄在12人球員名單，今年，這位新星總算不用抱著遺憾當觀眾。

新榮高二生高孟偉本季平均每場攻下22.4分，暫居得分王，事實上，這不過是他第一年亮相。

「雖然是他第一年HBL，但他打球很沉穩。」新榮教練田本玉說：「上季沒打到球，亞青U16又超齡，所以他很想贏，不過有時候太急躁。」

高孟偉身高175公分、體重65公斤，在場上看起來又瘦又小，但24日對超級強敵「不敗能仁」能仁家商第4節飆進「壓哨追平三分彈」，膽識過人。

「去年沒報到名，看到杜思汗拿新人王、進中華隊，多少有點感慨。」高孟偉說。
