【短片】特斯拉電動車　遇撞電池起火

【綜合報導】日前在汽車論壇《Jalopnik》出現一段電動車大廠特斯拉汽車(Tesla Motors Inc.)量產的Model S轎車，在路中間起火燃燒的影片，該公司發言人賈維斯席恩(Liz Jarvis-Shean)周二(1日)表示，由於這輛車起火前「遭到道路中大型金屬物件撞擊」，傷害引擎室內的電池模組，因而起火燃燒，雖然車體損傷嚴重，但駕駛已經安全逃離，無人受傷。

但根據西雅圖消防人員的紀錄，消防人員在獲報後3分鐘內就抵達現場，並陸續增援，直到2小時半後才收隊離開，「無法看出實際滅火花了多少時間」，而汽車論壇上的目擊網友表示，起火的電動車並沒有想像中容易撲滅。

售價達7萬美元(約台幣210萬元)的Model S電動車，傳出起火燃燒意外，對特斯拉公司的股價立刻造成衝擊，美股盤中一度重挫9.1%，該公司發言人賈維斯席恩強調，「火警不是電動車的自發性(spontaneous)事故，是嚴重撞擊後的結果」，車主不需太過擔心。
