等了16年，三峽北大安置住宅終於開工。

新北市為了三峽北大特區的發展，86年起由當時的台北縣政府擬定「台北縣台北大學特定區開發工程用地區段徵收拆遷補償安置計畫」後，遭徵收拆遷補償的近200位安置戶等了16年，終於等到安置住宅的新建開工，「三峽北大安置住宅新建統包工程」開工動土典禮在市長朱立倫主持及現場滿滿的安置戶見證下完成，朱立倫並表示，前面讓大家等太久，不過從今天起，相信在104年底前，安置住宅一定可以完成。
新北市政府城鄉發展局局長張璠表示，三峽北大安置住宅除了兌現對安置戶承諾外，在建築規劃及施工品質上一定會全力把關，五棟樓高14層的安置住宅，也會帶給鄰近社區優質都會生活空間，希望對整個地區發展能再向上提升，帶來嶄新風貌。
在場的安置戶表示，自86年起，當時的台北縣政府擬定「台北縣台北大學特定區開發工程用地區段徵收拆遷補償安置計畫」後，大家殷殷期盼2年後可重回家園，卻沒想到，歷經十餘年皆無法實現當年對安置戶的承諾，一次又一次的期盼落空，讓許多安置戶因此相當傷心失望。
時至今日，市長朱立倫積極兌現承諾，不再有無數次的協商，直接以行動證實市府興建安置住宅的決心，讓許多安置戶帶著滿心期待，攜老偕幼共同參與開工動土典禮，期望工程能順利的完成，大家可重新遷回最熟悉的家園。
朱立倫致詞時表示，北大特區經過這些年來建設，已經是交通方便，生活機能良好的區域，未來還有捷運三鶯線建設。這個成果是當年區段徵收開發前，許多世居在北大特區原地主、住戶犧牲成全的。
朱立倫表示，上任後了解到北大安置住宅計畫是早在86年就已經擬定要執行的政策，歷經前面四任三位縣長，雖然期間有許多整合問題無法解決，但是安置住宅用地是一片素地，沒有理由無法執行。所以要求落實對安置戶的承諾，並依法辦理，也跟大家約定105年入厝時再一起吃湯圓。
