【綜合報導】英女皇與安妮公主18日訪問坎布里亞(Cumbria)，獲當地士兵和市民夾道歡迎，然而一名中士卻在女皇走到面前時突然坐下，在旁市民見到為之譁然，但女皇表現淡定，完全不感到驚訝。

原來32歲的中士魯夏特（Rusiate Bolavucu）來自斐濟，他表示遇到國家元首時坐下是斐濟的傳統，還要低頭與盤膝以示尊敬。魯夏特還說「女皇曾到訪斐濟，她是知道的，又問我來自甚麽地方，所以看到我這樣做時，女皇微笑了」。不過，一旁不明就裡的市民，還以為魯夏特對女皇不禮貌。

【石永軒╱新北報導】26歲男子昨晚將Nissan Tida停放在新北市三芝山區馬路旁，豈知8點20分左右車輛突然起火爆炸，火焰直衝天際，所幸車主在車輛開始冒煙時已經跑出車外，一旁巡邏的警車正好到場將他帶回派出所，但車主仍精神恍惚，僅對警方說：「吃了10顆安眠藥，在車上要點蚊香」但警方鑑識人員到場發現，燒毀的駕駛座有木炭的殘骸，警初步懷疑男子自殺。

【綜合報導】衣索比亞前奧運長跑選手雷琪絲（Meskerem Legesse）15日美國一家中餐館買外賣時突然昏迷，送院後證實不治，但醫生奇蹟似的成功救出她腹中胎兒。

26歲的雷琪絲昏迷時，腹中胎兒離預產期僅剩三周。她因心臟病發昏倒，救援人員到場後及在送院途中，不停替她做心肺復甦術，雖然最終不治，但胎兒幸運保住。

雷琪絲曾參加2004年雅典奧運1500公尺賽跑，但由於心臟問題，近年已轉做教練並移居美國，不幸仍死於心臟病。
