【王玉樹／台北報導】家扶今天舉辦2013年金扶獎傑出自立青年頒獎典禮，職棒Lamigo桃猿隊游擊手、「大師兄」林智勝也是今天5位受獎人之一。上月因車禍受傷，今天坐著輪椅出席的林智勝上台受獎時，家扶播出他國高中時期認養人黃正勳醫師的訪問影帶，黃醫師在影帶中謙稱自己只是「小小付出」，勉勵林智勝「把愛傳遞下去，給更多需要幫助的人」，讓林智勝感動的當場落淚，現場眾人立刻為他拍掌打氣，場面倍感溫馨。
 
林智勝從小父母離異，小時就從台東被帶到台南由外公撫養，家境清苦，小3就到台南善化國小打棒球，曾經一度沒飯吃，加上食量特大，看著同學吃便當還心想：「只要每人給人給我1口就好了。」現在成為眾人矚目的明星選手，林智盛還是每月認養2到3位貧童，並主動參與公益回饋社會。

26歲的護士林孟蓁笑說，好奇報名，想看看是不是真有符合莫名其妙條件的人，「沒想到真的有！」張峻瑋說：「大家都來自豐原，有緣分相聚，賓主盡歡非常有趣，以後會考慮繼續辦類似活動。」

【綜合報導】英國的瑪蒂達（Matilda Callaghan）一出生就滿臉紅通通，醫生一度以為是淤血，結果竟是胎記。而且這種胎記其實是一種罕見的神經與皮膚病變，加上瑪蒂達的心臟也有問題，醫生也沒有把握她可以活多久。不過她和爸爸媽媽一同走過難關，勇敢的瑪蒂達下個月就要3歲了。

瑪蒂達一出生就有許多疾病，包括心臟破損、還有被稱為「史德格-韋伯症候群」（Sturge Weber Syndrome）的神經病變。瑪蒂達才2個月大就進行心臟手術，雷射手術在她臉上的傷痕更讓許多不知情者質疑，這個小女孩是不是被燙傷了，認為她的父母照顧不周。

瑪蒂達每幾個月就要進行一次雷射手術，而且可能得做到他16歲為止。但小瑪蒂達跟父母都沒有放棄，讓許多不看好她存活的人跌破眼鏡。瑪蒂達的父親說：「打從一出生她就是生命鬥士，她是我們的小小奇蹟。」
