【吳國仲／台北報導】今天凌晨2時許，中華路二段發生一起車禍，1名女子穿越馬路時，不慎被1輛行經路口的轎車撞到，被送往醫院治療，還好人無大礙。
 
警方初步瞭解，女子在沒有劃斑馬線的地方穿越馬路，因天色陰暗，轎車駕駛可能是沒有看清楚有人，剎車不及才會撞上。20多歲的奧迪車駕駛低調不願多談，只說並未看到該女子走出來，確切肇事責任，仍由警方釐清當中。

【綜合報導】英國的醜陋動物保護協會(Ugly Animal Preservation Society)日前舉辦「最醜動物票選活動」，昨日成績揭曉，由「水滴魚」(Blobfish)奪冠。

據了解，這次有3千多名網友參與網路投票，當中水滴魚就拿到795票。水滴魚是一種又軟又濕的粉紅色生物，能忍受深海中的極大水壓，但卻常成為深海拖網捕魚的犧牲品。

另外第2名是紐西蘭鸚鵡「Kakapo」，但牠是一隻不會飛的鸚鵡。第3名則是墨西哥蠑螈「Axolotl」。

歐元相對於美元、日圓12日因歐元區7月份工業生產呈現萎縮而走貶。嘉實XQ全球贏家系統的報價顯示，截至12日紐約匯市尾盤為止歐元兌美元貶值0.1%至1.3299、5個交易日以來首度貶值。歐元兌日圓貶值0.52%至132.23、連續第2個交易日走貶。

彭博社報導，歐元區7月工業生產月減1.5%、遜於市場原先預期的0.3%降幅。經濟學家目前預估，歐元區第3季經濟成長率將放緩至0.1%、遜於4-6月的0.3%增幅。Markit Economics首席經濟學家Chris Williamson指出，工業生產數據顯示，歐元區第3季GDP可能再度呈現萎縮。

12日公佈的數據顯示，德國、法國、義大利7月份工業生產分別月減2.3%、0.6%、1.1%。歐元區失業率7月份達到創紀錄的12.1%，分析師預期到2015年底以前都不會跌破12%。

美元兌日圓貶值0.41%至99.41、連續第2個交易日走貶。讀賣新聞12日報導，日本首相安倍晉三已決定如期在2014年4月將消費稅率自5%調高到8%。報導指出，他將同步推出5兆日圓財政支出方案以降低消費稅調升對經濟的衝擊。日本內閣官房長官菅義偉隨後出面表示，上述報導並非事實。

澳元兌美元貶值0.6%至0.9270、5個交易日以來首度貶值，貶值幅度創8月21日以來新高。英國衛報報導，澳洲8月失業率上揚0.1個百分點至5.8%、創4年來新高；就業人數縮減10,800人、遜於市場預期的擴增10,000人，為連續第2個月呈現下滑。澳洲財政部預估，失業率將在明年6月升至6.25%。

美元兌印尼盾12日貶值0.04%至11,325、3天以來首度走貶。Thomson Reuters報導，印尼央行12日出乎市場意料之外地宣佈將指標利率調高一碼至7.25%，並將存款工具利率(FASBI)調高一碼至5.50%。在11名受訪分析師當中，8名預期印尼央行將會讓指標利率維持在7%不變。

攸關「保級」的台維斯杯網賽今天在高雄陽明網球中心開戰，中華隊由「亮寶」黃亮祺打頭陣，迎戰印尼隊的紐羅霍。

「我對自己很有信心！」雖是首次扛第1點單打重任，世界排名228的黃亮祺毫無畏懼；他的對手排名僅1787名，兩人還沒有交手紀錄。

對手排名有段差距，「亮寶」表示出賽不會有壓力，但會注意印尼對手多變打法和網前截擊。

中華隊和印尼隊自1979年首度交鋒後，在台維斯杯已對戰5次，中華隊都是輸家；本次必須奪勝才能留在亞大區第1級，教練蔡佳翰和全體隊員都有信心將勝利留在寶島。

根據昨天抽籤結果，世界排名239的陳迪將在第2點單打出戰排名358的倫卡；明天雙打則由李欣翰、彭賢尹迎擊謝／蘇桑托。

蔡佳翰表示，陳迪和「亮寶」近況都不錯，第1點、第2點只是順序問題。首日賽事將於今天中午11點展開，比賽皆在陽明網球中心第2球場進行。
