【綜合報導】英國的醜陋動物保護協會(Ugly Animal Preservation Society)日前舉辦「最醜動物票選活動」，昨日成績揭曉，由「水滴魚」(Blobfish)奪冠。

據了解，這次有3千多名網友參與網路投票，當中水滴魚就拿到795票。水滴魚是一種又軟又濕的粉紅色生物，能忍受深海中的極大水壓，但卻常成為深海拖網捕魚的犧牲品。

另外第2名是紐西蘭鸚鵡「Kakapo」，但牠是一隻不會飛的鸚鵡。第3名則是墨西哥蠑螈「Axolotl」。

【綜合報導】美國一名39歲男子特拉普(Jonathan Trappe)從今日開始挑戰飛越大西洋，而他不是坐傳統熱氣球，而是靠300個色彩繽紛的氦氣球，欲成功飛越大西洋。

據了解，這趟旅程已經規劃2年，特拉普在清晨時從緬因州的一處球場出發，預計將隨風飄向歐洲西部，總航程達4000公里，預估約花3~5天可能降落在冰島或摩洛哥，完全視風向和天氣而定。

此外，特拉普先前也以氦氣球飛行方式，成功飛越英倫海峽和阿爾卑斯山。

美國男子崔普（Jonathan Trappe）今天乘著數百個色彩繽紛的汽球起飛，希望成為駕汽球飛越大西洋的第一人，這項壯舉宛如電影「天外奇蹟」（Up）的情節。

美聯社報導，崔普今天黎明時由緬因州加勒巴市（Caribou）的一個壘球場起飛，展開這項規劃兩年的越洋冒險之旅，今天下午他仍順利飛行，可能隨風飛向西歐。

39歲的崔普未使用傳統的熱氣球，而是靠超過300個氦氣汽球飛行，就像迪士尼公司（Disney）電影天外奇蹟中主人翁的作法。

據英國「衛報」（the Guardian）報導，崔普是這種飛行方式的專家，也是以此方式飛越英吉利海峽和阿爾卑斯山的第一人。

報導說，這次飛越大西洋之旅航程可能長達4000公里，約需三至五天時間，他可能降落在由冰島以至摩洛哥的任何地方，全看天氣狀況而定。

美國國家航空暨太空總署（NASA）今天表示，1977年發射的「旅行家一號」（Voyager 1）已確認成為第一艘駛出太陽系的太空船，於去年進入所謂星際空間，正在探索外太空。

美國加州巴沙迪納（Pasadena）加州理工學院（California Institute of Technology）的旅行家計畫科學家史東（Ed Stone）說：「我們做到了。」

他表示：「如今我們已取得新的關鍵資訊，我們相信人類已邁出歷史性一步，躍入星際空間。」

他又說：「旅行家研究團隊需要時間分析觀測資料，了解它們代表的意義。但我們如今可以回答大家一直問的問題：『我們到那裡了沒？』是的，我們到了。」

旅行家一號其實去年即已進入星際空間，成為首個離開太陽系的人造物體。但過去一年間，旅行家的確切位置引起激烈辯論，原因在於科學家也不是很清楚，當這艘太空船越過太陽系的外緣時會是什麼情形，而太空船上用來偵測相關變化的儀器早就故障了。

不過，太空總署的科學家如今同意，旅行家一號如今已正式進入所謂星際空間，脫離了太陽系外緣有保護作用的氣泡狀太陽圈，或稱太陽風層，此處距離太陽系所有行星至少130億公里。
