【綜合報導】身亡的槍手身份證實為現年34歲，來自德州的艾隆艾力克斯(Aaron Alexis)，近來以約聘人員身份進入軍方工作，據美聯社報導指出艾力克斯有過犯罪紀錄，並持有秘密持槍許可證，艾力克斯應是利用他人的許可證進入海軍工廠，但不確定這個他人是否為共犯，或是許可證遭竊。
 
另外，參議院大樓也在槍擊案後，宣布關閉2小時，不允許任何人進出。

根據《自由時報》報導，香港玄學家麥玲玲指出，王菲本身的夫妻宮相，適合「非傳統婚姻」。像是姊弟戀或老外，這樣才會比較長久，並且大膽預測，王菲不僅不會在農曆年後出家，甚至會在2016、2017年的時候出現新桃花，甚至會三度結婚。

【陳培煌／台北報導】有國人在國外使用另一國人護照進入賭場，遭賭場查獲，二人都被以觸犯當地法令而被移送警方處理；還有國人因在夜店將護照交給櫃台保管，導致被警方以涉嫌非法工作留置調查。

外交部領事事務局今天發布訊息提醒國人，在國外旅遊或應聘工作時應妥善保管護照，除因辦理相關手續，在程序上必需提供外，不宜將護照交給雇主或他人保管或使用，或為一時方便借用他人護照，以免觸 犯當地法律。國人在海外若遇急難需要協助，可以撥打當地國際電話冠碼：+886-800-085-095與「外交部緊急聯絡中心」聯繫。

【大紀元2013年09月16日訊】（大紀元記者周月諦多倫多報導）開學首日被撞死華裔女孩梁笳葬禮於9月14日在烈治文山舉行。

瞻仰遺容儀式於上週五與上週六舉行。靈堂裡有10多個花圈，梁笳的遺體放在花圈中間。前來弔唁的親友與梁笳父母及姐姐握手、擁抱。母親一直哭，情緒悲傷難忍。靈堂內的屏幕上放映梁笳出生以來的照片。

週六葬禮結束後，梁笳遺體在烈治文山Elgin Mills墓地入土。殯葬館表示，梁笳生於1998年9月4日，在15歲生日的前一天離世。

多倫多華裔女孩梁笳於全國開學首日9月3日被大卡車撞死。14歲的華裔女孩梁笳的學校早9點開課，她提前一個多小時離家，走路去學校。警方新聞稿表示，當天，梁笳被一輛2012年產的Mack牌卡車撞到後，當場死亡。
