面對外界指出達比修有將準備Tommy John手術、本季提前報銷，對此遊騎兵表示，確切計劃將在台灣時間12日正式對外公佈，在這期間，球團也送達比修前往紐約，再度接受檢查，尋求轉圜餘地。

達比修日前熱身賽首戰原預定先發2局，不過因為三頭肌不適投1局後退場，經過檢查，發現右手肘「尺骨附屬韌帶」有撕裂傷，醫生強烈建議開刀處理。

根據美媒報導，達比修進行Tommy John手術的機率相當高，不過球隊不打算放棄任何選項，於是安排他前往紐約，另請高明、尋求其他意見。

遊騎兵助理經理Thad Levine表示：「達比修是今天的班機到紐約，明天與醫生見面，我們會等到評估報告出爐，再作最後打算，希望有更好的辦法。」
