底特律活塞真的應該送給Josh Smith一面匾額，上頭寫「惠我良多」。

活塞季初釋出Smith後，拉出一波神奇7連勝，雖然近日苦吞4連敗，1日碰上帶走Smith的休士頓火箭，汽車軍團果真順利止敗。

活塞全場8人應戰，後場搭檔D.J. Augustin、Kentavious Caldwell-Pope都攻下28分，Greg Monroe繳出19分、12籃板，中鋒Andre Drummond狂抓16籃板，得11分，以114：101獲勝。

Smith替補出賽23分鐘，面對熟悉的籃框，11投卻僅中3，貢獻7分、7籃板，每當他上場、接球、罰球，奧本山宮殿球場總是響起龐大噓聲，不過他不認為球迷的反應會造成壓力。

「這真的不會影響我的情緒，因為我在這裡並沒有待那麼久。」Smith生涯在亞特蘭大老鷹起步，當了9年「鷹王」才轉戰活塞，這是他第11個球季。

「如果你問我關於亞特蘭大的事情，我可能會比較情緒化一點。」Smith說。
