世界棒壘總會（WBSC）今天公布世界棒球排名前12名的國家，也是明年世界棒球12強賽的參賽隊伍，中華隊世界排名第4。日本隊世界排名首度躍居世界第一。

世界棒球12強賽（Premier 12）是世界棒壘總會首創的賽事，暫訂明年11月在台灣舉行，獎金達數百萬美元。

世界棒壘總會今天公布排名，第1名到第12名依序是：日本、美國、古巴、中華、荷蘭、多明尼加、加拿大、南韓、波多黎各、委內瑞拉、義大利、墨西哥。

世界棒壘總會會長法卡利（Riccardo Fraccari）恭喜參賽的12強代表著世界棒球的頂尖隊伍，在2015年進行一場前所未有、勢均力敵的經典大賽。

本次世界棒球排名另有一個歷史意義，日本國家隊又名日本武士隊，首次在世界棒球排名躍居第1名。

世界棒壘總會表示，世界棒球12強同時代表著棒球運動的全球普及，這12支隊伍來自北美洲、中美洲、南美洲、加勒比海區、亞洲、歐洲。

本次世界排名的計分方式包括以年齡分級的12U、15U、18U、21U世界盃錦標賽，2013年世界棒球經典賽，以及受到認證的國際賽事。世界棒球12強賽2015年首屆開打後，每4年舉辦一次。(中央社)
