（中央社康乃狄克州瑪漢塔克特23日綜合外電報導）美國加州男子徹斯納特（Joey Chestnut）今天在短短10分鐘內吞下1整隻火雞，以創紀錄的大食量，勇奪康乃狄克州吃火雞大賽冠軍。

美聯社與福斯新聞台報導，各路好手今天齊聚康乃狄克州快活豪華大賭場（Foxwoods Resort Casino），看誰最能把9公斤重的火雞吃得精光。

結果徹斯納特只花了10分鐘「生吞活剝」，就把整隻火雞吃得只剩下骨頭，共計約4.24公斤的肉被他吃下肚。

根據等同飲食界美國職棒大聯盟MLB的「好吃大聯盟」（Major League Eating），徹斯納特刷新2011年11月湯瑪斯（Sonya Thomas）保持的2.38公斤紀錄，成為新任的火雞大胃王，來自加州聖荷西、25日將滿31歲的徹斯納特，也因此躋身世界大胃王之列。
