城隍廟喋血　市長慰問見義勇為民眾

新竹城隍廟昨晚發生駭人情殺！男子呂漢堂(31歲)瘋狂刺殺前女友陳恆娟(31歲)和陳女友人邱耀賢(46歲)，當時有店家和其他吃飯客人挺身擊退並制伏呂嫌，才未造成更重傷亡，新竹市長許明財今天特地慰問並表揚見義勇為的民眾。
 
中山大學研究生蔡牧霖案發時坐在鄰近攤吃東西，他趁呂嫌不注意時，從背後抓住呂嫌拿刀的右手，企圖奪刀，頸部因此被劃傷一刀，許明財今天上午前往慰問蔡。
 
許明財原本也要表揚當時參與幫忙的連家阿婆攤商連偉旗，但連低調表示，他只是直覺要保護其他客人和店家，所以幫忙圍住客人，和兇嫌隔開距離，以免遭波及，並非出手制伏兇嫌，真正英雄是蔡同學，他因此婉拒市長表揚。
 
城隍廟發生頭次喋血事件，廟方今天表示，將盡快和攤商、警方協調，除廟裡的17支監視器外，廟口小吃攤販區也會增設17支監視器，確保憾事不再發生。（林師民／新竹報導）
