女為救鴨鴨　造成車禍致2死

加拿大一名25歲女子科諾拜(Emma Czornobaj)4年前在一條公路開車時，遇到一群鴨鴨在路邊，她把車停下，但後方的摩托車閃避不及，撞上她的車輛，導致摩托車司機及其16歲女兒喪生。她2項刑事疏忽導致他人死亡及2項危險駕駛導致他人死亡的控罪均告成立，將面臨終身監禁。

據《多倫多太陽報》報導，科諾拜的律師表示將爭取毋須監禁的判刑，因為她並無犯罪意圖。科諾拜在庭上表示，自己是愛護動物人士，事發時她看見一群鴨鴨在路邊，但不見母鴨，於是停車準備把牠們帶回家。主審官則表示，希望案件為社會帶來訊息，就是不應為動物而在公路上隨便停車，這是不值得的。（施旖婕／綜合外電報導）
