北美地殼下　發現世界最大地下水源

美國的科學家在北美地殼數百公里之下發現了隱藏的水源，這一水源可能是迄今發現的最大地下水源，其水量可能比全世界海洋海水的水量更多。

此次科學家發現的大量地下水位於地殼下410公里到660公里之間，位於地幔深處。 但研究發現，這些地下水的存在形式與普通的水並不一樣，它們並非以冰或者水蒸氣的形式存在，其形態更像是藍色的礦物。

參與研究的美國西北大學地球物理學家史蒂夫雅各布說，此次發現的地下水量可能與海洋水量相當，甚至更多。而這一發現可能會改變此前地球海洋的構成理論。 專家同時指出，因為這些水分的位置非常非常深，而且以非液體存在，所以很難提取。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
