龍捲風襲美　死亡增至30人

美國中南部自周日起連續兩天遭龍捲風肆虐，在6州共奪走至少30條人命。其中阿肯色州災情最慘重，龍捲風所到之處幾乎都被夷為平地，摧毀區域長達130公里，至少15人死亡，救難人員在災區搜尋是否有生還者。

根據CNN報導指出這波龍捲風，29日造成美國7500萬民眾受威脅，影響範圍從北美五大湖到墨西哥灣沿岸地區，阿拉巴馬及密西西比州為影響最大的地區，多輛卡車在公路遭強風連人帶車吹翻，數十萬戶無電可用， 美國國家氣象局稱，風暴29日將繼續向東移動，影響還將持續數日，死傷人數恐進一步增加。(桂家齊／綜合外電報導)
