針對立法院審查服貿協定所衍生的抗議事件，市長賴清德認為馬政府是始作俑者。為今之計，只有馬政府依照朝野協商結論逐條審查，履行民主應有的程序回應民意。

市長賴清德表示，馬英九主導簽署之服貿協定先是黑箱作業，不遵守民主程序，置受害產業生計於不顧，對於公聼會中不同意見也只是虛應故事，立院審查時更撕毀朝野逐條審查的協商共識，逕自宣布生效，國會尊嚴蕩然無存。

賴清德說，執政黨行政立法皆一意孤行，違背民主基本原理，人民當然要憤怒。為今之計，解鈴還需繫鈴人，只有依照朝野協商結論逐條審查才是上策。
