馬年到　獵戶座馬頭星雲來拜年

馬年即將到來，在夜空中除了飛馬座、人馬座等星座外，隱藏在獵戶座中的馬頭星雲，也是夜空中美麗的景象，中央氣象局天文站今天在臉書上分享了一張馬頭星雲照片，和所有民眾拜年。

天文站表示，影像拍攝自獵戶座腰帶上參宿一(左側的亮星)附近的天區，在這附近的星際空間中存在著編號IC 434的紅色星雲。從地球上觀察這片紅色星氣，有一塊區域由於黑暗的氣體和塵埃，造成酷似馬頭的形狀襯托在星雲上，因此被稱為「馬頭星雲」(Horsehead Nebula / Barnard 33)。（張勵德／台北報導）
