美國夢成真　田中年薪7年翻152倍

田中將大07年高中剛畢業投入職棒時，樂天金鷹給他的年薪是1500萬日圓(約434萬台幣)，這些年來隨著他成績越來越好，身價也水漲船高，去年在日職年薪4億日圓(約1.16台幣)，今年「過鹹水」到美國打球，年薪更高達2200萬美元(約6.64億台幣)，這7年來，薪水翻漲了152倍！
 
日本職棒球員在國內備受敬重，年收入也是頂尖，但還是無法與職業運動大國美國相比，因此優秀球員在日本打出成績後，最終目標還是想要到大聯盟闖盪，除了挑戰棒球最高殿堂外，薪資，更是最重要因素。(賴德剛／綜合報導)
