美國一名女子在2013年感恩節期間旅遊時意外身亡，其屍體被殯儀館送到美國紐澤西州進行火化，而她的女兒近日發現，母親的屍體放錯了棺材，或許被送到了加拿大。

環球網據澳大利亞聯合新聞社報導，這名女子的家人懷疑，由於她的母親和另一名加拿大女性遊客的死亡時間相近，兩人的屍體或許被殯儀館弄混了。於是，他們找到死者的梳子和牙刷，要求對屍體進行DNA檢測以確定身份，表示如果確實弄錯了屍體，他們想要回死者的骨灰。死者的女兒說：『殯儀館的工作人員已經開始準備檢測，我們很是忐忑不安。爸爸覺得心都要碎了，因為他沒能跟媽媽道別。』

應美國警方要求，加拿大政府已經介入調查此事。殯儀館主任則表示，工作人員沒有放錯屍體，但是，如果真的出現了這麼烏龍的錯誤，他們會給死者家屬退還喪葬費用。
