大陸新聞中心／綜合報導

荷蘭一個從事火星移民的機構2013年12月30日發表消息說，該機構已經從約20萬名的報名者中選出了1058名候選者。該機構稱，今後將透過檢查和訓練等考核，最終選定24人。

根據現代快報報導，從2025年開始，第一批往火星移住4人，此後隔2年增加4人。據悉，所有移住者都是『單程機票』，無法返回地球。

報導稱，火星計劃的首次任務旨在為載人專案測試技術問題。相關公司已經與另外兩家公司達成合作協定，其中一家將負責製造火星登陸器，而另外一家將製造一顆通訊衛星。
