【王覺一／花蓮報導】冠軍獎金100萬元的第1屆台彩威力彩全國少棒賽今天在花蓮開打，共有16支球隊參賽，地主3隊首日4場比賽，僅靠第1隊花蓮紅隊以2比0力克新北市，但今天仍有台北市與宜蘭縣2場硬仗，至少要拿下1勝才能確保晉級8強複賽。
 
威力盃由各縣市的聯隊報名參賽，花蓮是地主隊，由7校選出1、2、3隊，花蓮紅以中正為主體，王牌投手馬傑森是唯一來自光復國小的球員，今天靠他4安打完封打擊實力不弱的新北市。教練張茂三表示，馬傑森的優點是控球好，今天變化球8成以上都投得進去。若論整體戰力，新北市贏面大，但馬傑森今天控制得不錯，是贏球關。
