英青年無限長高　異常染色體作祟

【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】英國一名18歲青年高特(Josh Gott)，18歲已有208公分高，而且彷彿還在無限長高，讓母親相當擔心，而且醫生也束手無策。

高特在11歲時，母親就發現兒子開始不尋常地飆高，有時可以在2周內長高5公分，過去幾年去看醫生，都認為他只是發育而已。直至18個月前，高特到一個醫療中心進行檢查，才發現高特有一個染色體被刪去，涉及3個基因，其中一個是抑制生長荷爾蒙。了解病因之後，醫生仍束手無策。

高特本身有腦損傷、癲癇症、脊柱側彎、兒童股骨頭缺血性壞死、自閉、過度活躍症等症狀，現在還患染色體異常，讓家人都憂心忡忡。
