NBA戰神艾佛森 76人背號將引退

（法新社費城27日電） 美國職籃NBA費城76人（76ers）今天宣布，「戰神」艾佛森（Allen Iverson）在隊上的球衣背號即將引退。艾佛森2001年曾帶領76人殺進總冠軍賽，同年並獲最有價值球員（MVP）。

76人明年3月1日將在主場迎戰華盛頓巫師（Wizards），賽前將舉行艾佛森3號球衣引退儀式。

艾佛森將成為76人隊史第8位背號退役的球員，其他7人是「J博士」厄文（Julius Erving）、巴克利（Charles Barkley）、張伯倫（Wilt Chamberlain）、奇克斯（Maurice Cheeks）、康寧漢（BillyCunningham）、瓊斯（Bobby Jones）及葛里爾（HalGreer）。

76人執行長歐奈爾（Scott O'Neil）表示：「艾佛森無疑是歷來披過76人戰袍最具代表性的球員之一。」

他說：「艾佛森在球場上付出一切，無人能質疑他的用心。他出手毫不留情、無所畏懼，而且所向披靡，堪稱籃球史上最偉大的球員之一。」（譯者：中央社盧映孜）
