（軍聞社記者張富善臺北二日電）「3、2、1、碰!開始起跑」，國內最受跑者喜愛賽事之一的「太魯閣峽谷馬拉松賽」，上午在花蓮太魯閣舉行，花蓮縣後備指揮部邀集轄內備役人員組隊，以實際行動參加賽事，展現後備軍人熱愛運動的風氣和活動。

　太魯閣峽谷馬拉松是國內路跑每年的盛事，至今已邁入十四個年頭，開跑前，花蓮縣後備軍人隊成員與許多選手各自先進行熱身，大會也安排運動老師帶領大家進行有氧暖身操；隨後，所有參賽者完成檢錄，在上午七點鳴槍後，一萬兩千名選手起跑，在公路上形成一條長長的人龍，場面非常壯觀。

　此次賽事由太魯閣口起跑後，經亞泥鳳凰林到太魯閣大橋，再經舊台九線過錦文橋進中橫公路到溪畔折返後，回到終點砂卡礑隧道東口。經過激烈的競技，最後花蓮縣後備軍人隊全員冒著細雨在兩小時內抵達終點，為個人爭取佳績及健康，也留下美好的假期回憶。
