義大利科學家：換人頭手術不是夢

【綜合報導】換頭手術，在動物身上試過，而移植人頭，一直只是科幻小說或電影的情節。不過，義大利一名科學家發表論文，指出現代科技已容許人頭移植成真。

早在1950年代，俄羅斯科學家戴彌霍夫(Vladimir Demikhov)已嘗試狗頭移植，20年後美國神經外科專家懷特(Robert White)成功進行獼猴頭移植，結果獼猴因為脊髓神經的軸突(axons)不能修補，頸以下身體癱瘓，存活8日後死亡。

義大利科學家卡納維洛(Sergio Canavero)在他的文章中指出，用一種叫聚乙二醇的塑膠，能夠解決脊髓神經縫合的問題，但仍要進行實驗。他說，如果換頭手術可行，一些肌肉萎縮症或有四肢癱瘓及器官衰竭的病人將有救。
