本報訊

手機晶片廠聯發科宣布，將在新加坡設立創新中心，並將在未來6年投入新加坡幣2.5億元，擴大當地研發業務。

聯發科新加坡子公司自2004年成立以來，已快速擴增到250人規模；過去十年來已投資超過新加坡幣1.8億元。

聯發科表示，將在新加坡設立創新中心，尋求智慧城市、保健及健康應用的消費、醫療和工業物聯網發展機會。

聯發科並宣布，至2020年將投入新加坡幣2.5億元，擴大新加坡研發業務，開發高速中央處理器(CPU)及圖形處理器(GPU)等先進IC技術。

除技術發展外，聯發科表示，將同時與學術界在新加坡培育技術人才，透過研究促進下一代技術發展。

聯發科指出，將在南洋理工大學資助教授席，聘請來自香港科技大學的教授梁錦和負責研發活動；目前梁錦和已投入包括可吞進體內拍攝體內影像的丸狀無線、無電池相機等研究。(中央社)
