我國女網好手詹謹瑋今天和大陸女將徐一幡聯手，在總獎金50萬美元的首爾女網賽奪下雙打金杯，拿下生涯第一座WTA冠軍。

詹謹瑋和徐一幡對手是大會頭號種子的美國組合柯普斯‧瓊斯／史皮爾茲，「海峽組合」以7：5、6：3勝出，比賽只歷時1小時又16分鐘。

28歲的詹謹瑋自2003年轉入職業，今年終於拿下第一座WTA金杯。

【綜合報導】肯亞首都奈洛比的西門購物中心（Westgate Mall）22日發生槍擊事件，發生至今已過33小時，槍手挾持約30名人質，和警方持續對峙，目前已知至少造成68死，175傷。

當地安全官員表示，槍手應是來自索馬利亞叛軍「青年黨」（Al-Shabaab），美國總統歐巴馬致電肯亞總統烏胡魯·肯亞塔（Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta）表示美方會全力支持肯亞政府所有攻堅行動。
 
發生槍擊案的購物中心，相當受到外國遊客或是移民者的歡迎，目前已知確定死者當中有3名英國人、2名法國人、2名加拿大人，根據加拿大政府表示，其中一名死者是加拿大外交人員。

【綜合報導】中國重慶前市委書記薄熙來案今天(22日)上午宣判，上月在案件進行一審期間，全由中國官方媒體發放照片，但山東濟南中級人民法院透過《微博》發放訊息時透露，薄熙來曾自己利用自辯機會，對指控作出抗辯，外界卻一直無法得知他的抗辯情況。今天《央視》在報導薄熙來案件時，首次轉載了當天薄熙來在庭上抗辯的片段。

影片中，薄熙來被指自己與法國別墅關係時強調：「我相信他們受賄這些證據，都是確實存在。但是這些證據，只能證明谷開來搞了這一套房子來，並不能證明這套房子和我本人有關係。」看來氣定神閒、信心十足。

【陳國偉／綜合報導】F1(Formula One，一級方程式)新加坡站，昨晚進行決賽，奪得桿位的紅牛車手維特爾，沒有意外一路領先到終點，連續三年制霸夜間街道賽，同時也完成個人最近連續3場分站冠軍，目前領先第2名阿隆索積分已經達到60分，奪取年度車手冠軍後勢看好。
 
維特爾昨從發車到終點超完美，最後以32.6秒的極大差距奪冠，維特爾賽後說：「這是一場時間很長的比賽，要控制領先幅度很困難，有時候對手離我遠，安全車出動的時候又很近，在前面名次的競爭，真得很激烈！」維特爾贏得本季第7勝，也是生涯第33勝，正式超越阿隆索的32勝，成為現役車手中，勝場數最多一位。

【大紀元2013年09月22日訊】 (大紀元記者郭靖康編譯報導)互聯網搜索巨頭谷歌，最新的一項投資是研究如何減緩衰老及其與之相關的疾病，該項目由生物科技部門的前首席執行官萊文森(Arthur Levinson)牽頭。

據《紐約每日新聞》報導，谷歌正在向互聯網搜索領域之外的版圖擴張，目前最新動向是尋找青春之泉（Fountain of Youth），想在如何減緩衰老及其與之相關疾病方面有所建樹。

他們的雄心壯志是要扭轉衰老的進程、延長人類的壽命，為此還專門成立了一家名為卡裡科（Calico）的新公司。這家新成立的公司已籌劃了540億美元的資金儲備，這筆款項主要是通過其主導的互聯網搜索和網絡廣告而籌備來的。

卡裡科公司由前谷歌董事會成員亞瑟•萊文森負責，他是著名的生物技術的先驅基因技術公司（Genentech）的前首席執行官。四年前，萊文森由於美國聯邦貿易委員會調查他同時任職蘋果公司的董事會是否違反公平競爭法案而辭去谷歌董事成員。在負責卡裡科公司的同時，萊文森將繼續保留在蘋果和基因技術董事長的職位。

谷歌沒有披露將向卡裡科公司注入多少資金，但谷歌CEO佩奇（Larry Page）週三表示，這不會是一個大問題。他顯然是在給投資者吃一顆定心丸，這些投資者們都願意看到公司能提高利潤而不是追求遙遙無期的投資回報，因為這種回報可能永遠無法還清所投資金。

佩奇在谷歌推出的社交產品Google Plus上貼文稱：「請記住，這樣規模的新投資與我們的核心業務比較還是非常小的。」谷歌的股票週三收盤時903.32美元，價格上漲了$ 17.21，漲幅近2 ％ 。

應對嚴峻挑戰的搜索引牽工具，是他和他的長期合作夥伴布林（Sergey Brin）自從他們在15年前創辦了谷歌以來一直想做的事情。谷歌的成功更賦予了他們開創新領域的雄心。

谷歌的一些項目剛開始時似乎稀奇古怪，可日後卻被證實為頗有發展前景的創新項目，如無人駕駛汽車和眼鏡式計算機，後者把計算機的屏幕設計成像一副眼鏡一樣，可以戴在頭上。佩奇把他們在互聯網業務之外的業務統稱為「新的登月計劃」。

當然，這其中一些新的投資計劃以完敗而告終，其中之一被稱為「谷歌健康計劃」，目的是在全球建立一個系統，以數字化形式來保存世界各地的醫療記錄。這個項目在佩奇於2011年4月出任谷歌首席執行官之後不久，就被終止了。

現已40歲的佩奇，希望卡裡科公司可以找到延緩衰老和預防與其相關疾病的方法。他在上週三的貼文中說，現在來談卡裡科公司的具體細節尚為時過早。

上週三在網上所發佈的佩奇接受「時代」週刊採訪內容中，他表示卡裡科公司可能要經過10至20年的努力才會有豐收果實。但同時他又說，卡裡科公司的使命甚至比治療癌症更為重要。

他最後說：「我想解決癌症的治療問題確實是一項驚人之舉，它會使人類的平均壽命延長三年左右。我們現在想解決的問題與治療癌症一樣，會給世界帶來根本性巨大變化。但是當你回過頭來看一看，是啊，癌症給人類帶來了許許多多的苦難、悲慘與無奈。但總體上，它並不像你想像的那麼高不可攀。」

【大紀元2013年09月22日訊】（大紀元記者王依瀾紐約報導）新唐人第四屆武術大賽吸引了海內外不同門派積極參與，不僅為練武之人提供了切磋提高的好機會，更促使全球華人同道不遺餘力，希望再現中華傳統武術風采。2013年9月21日初賽，通備門派的琵琶條子弟子薑濤，以參賽項目通備長棍成功進入複賽。

姜濤表示，通備意為文通武備，文武雙修。通備分為四個套路，分別為劈掛、青龍、飛虎、太淑。 拳術類有通備翻子和八極。器械有長棍、四大名棍（風磨棍、天旗棍、蒲團棍及扭絲棍）、條子棍（琵琶條子和六合條子）、大槍、雙手刀及通備大劍及小劍等。有 人把雙手長刀叫成苗刀，但這是誤傳。最早使用雙手長刀的人為明朝抗倭名將戚繼光。

他說，通備八極和通備大槍為內門拳，只傳直系弟子。大槍最早來源於古戰場的長矛，很難練習。槍桿的粗度需是一成年男子將其抓滿後，兩指之間還有三指的空間。長度也有要求，太短沒有殺傷力，太長則槍桿軟、易斷。士兵在戰場上拚殺，用的就是槍的最簡單用法：攔、拿、扎。

對於傳統武術的理解，他表示，傳統武術教導武德：仁、義、禮、智、信。當發現自己功力上升時，會產生爭強好勝的心，此時需用武德約束，不能動怒。他笑道，武德是習武之人的神髓。沒有武德，這個人不是習武者，只是一個殺人機器。武德已成為傳統武術的一部份。他學習通備已有7、8年了，變得開朗、堅強、能吃苦及忍耐冷靜等。新武術則太注重技術，翻騰跳躍較多。

他介紹，通備門派來源於清末民初河北滄州的馬鳳圖、馬英圖兩兄弟。馬風圖之子馬賢達的學生高西安於上世紀90年代移民美國，將通備帶到了美國。本門派動作特點為舒展大方，大開大合。伏如臥虎，開如炮炸，要求腰背用力。

今年第二次參賽的姜濤表示，新唐人傳統武術大賽主題很好，現在很多傳統消失了，一些老拳師相繼離世，帶走了一些好東西。而通過該比賽可以瞭解其它門派，可以互相交流學習。

這一位位性侵受害者，勇敢站出來，訴說自己的不幸遭遇，有些年僅13歲就遭年齡半百的人性侵，還有不少是遭親戚、老師、教練或是父母的朋友，甚至警察性侵，她們寫下強暴犯對他們說的話，藉此呼籲大眾重視性侵問題。
 
這個「堅不可摧計畫」(Project Unbreakable)，是由美國麻州一名21歲的攝影系學生格蕾絲布朗，在2011年10月發起，讓這個禁忌的話題，有個可以發聲的平台，讓願意分享自己遭遇的受害者，能有個抒發的管道，找到支持的力量，當中有些受害者甚至被家人責備，是自己有問題才會被性侵，對於這些受害者來說，還有更多觀念需要被改正，對於加害者，還需要更嚴格的法律制裁。
