【綜合報導】世界目前在位時間最長的君主、高齡85歲的泰王蒲美蓬(King Bhumibol Adulyadej)，因為健康因素入住曼谷詩麗拉醫院4年後，明天(8月1日)將會出院，返回位於曼谷以南的華欣「忘憂宮」。

蒲美蓬在2009年9月發燒入院，再因包括硬腦膜下血腫等疾病，反覆留院多時。

【林錫淵、吳世龍／高雄報導】一輛由林姓男子（47歲）駕駛的黑色自小客車，今天下午1時許，在高市大寮區台88快速道路橋下，由鳳林三路往光明路方向行駛時，疑為閃避一輛從巷口衝出來的車子，失控撞上安全島，車子當場向右側翻，林男受傷卡在車內。

民眾見車禍立刻報案，因車主爬不出來，民眾先將駕駛座玻璃砸破，再將人拉出，救護車趕到將林男送醫，所幸林男僅頭部有輕微割傷及腰部挫傷，送醫治療後無礙，詳細車禍肇事原因由警方調查。

【許麗珍／台北報導】「要求國防部長下台並還原洪仲丘死因真相及總統召開國是會議」集會活動申請在8月2日19時至24時、8月3日16時至24時、8月4日0時至24時，在中正區凱達格蘭大道舉行，北市警局為維護交通秩序，8月2日19時起至8月4日24時（視狀況提前或延後）管制凱達格蘭大道（中山南路至公園路段，均不含路口）雙向全線車道，禁止車輛通行，供活動民眾使用。並視現場狀況及人數調整交通管制範圍；管制時間內行經集會處所的各路線公車，台北市公共運輸處將協調公車業者配合實施暫停（調整）靠站或改道行駛。

【綜合報導】加拿大一名45歲不願具名的男性中風後9個月，感官開始出現聯合感覺現象(synesthesia)，好比聞到味道就會聽到聲音，這名男子表示聽到高頻聲音，特別是007的主題曲，就會有高潮，還會看見藍色影像。
 
根據加拿大研究人員表示這種案例相當罕見，這名病患是目前已知第二例，男子表示他看電視轉播奧運時，感覺就像進入電視裡，飄浮在群眾頭上，還能感受到大家的熱度和濕氣，這樣的感覺讓他嚇壞了，他以為自己快瘋了。
 
他求助醫生才知道自己感官出了問題，經過訓練後，現在他已經能控制聯合感覺，開關自如。
