【綜合報導】《美國有線電視新聞網》(CNN)選出「全球25指標性摩天大樓」，「台北101」獲選入榜，香港的中銀大廈和國際金融中心(IFC)也都榜上有名。

入圍的建築物， 不一定要高度過人，不少摩天大樓是憑著獨特的設計上榜。例如高437公尺的紐約帝國大廈，隨著世貿大廈倒下，成為當地以至全球的經濟核心，地位超然；而中國北京的中央電視台總部大樓，雖然只高234公尺，不過立體建築極具特色；德國法蘭克福的商業銀行大廈高300.1公尺，利用天然照明和通風系統，成功節省能源，成為全球首座生態高樓。台北101的設計師李祖原，以象徵生生不息力量的竹子為外型靈感，同時內建每分鐘可跑1010公尺的「全球最快速電梯」，是世上第一棟超過500公尺高的大樓，也是2004年至2009年間的世界第一高樓而入榜。

至於香港中銀大廈和國際金融中心(IFC)，分別因為造型特別和代表香港繁盛經濟而上榜。
