【劉昌松／台北報導】男子鄭成宇和女友張雅慧交往5個月後協議分手，鄭男卻一直無法釋懷，前年7月28日凌晨，開車從桃園南下台中找張女想挽回感情，並決心追不回張女就要同歸於盡，結果張女堅持分手，鄭男拿出預藏的水果刀猛刺張女左胸10公分，張女大出血拜託鄭男送醫，此時鄭男突然放棄自殺念頭，載著奄奄一息的張女北返基隆投案，女友因此遲了近3個小時才被送醫不治。

鄭男辯稱，曾打電話託朋友幫忙報警，但法官認定鄭男只是告訴朋友犯行，並未委託自首，因此一、二審都判鄭男無期徒刑，後因鄭男與被害家屬達成500萬元和解，僅剩下50萬元沒付，且曾當庭痛哭表示，多次寫信給被害家屬表達歉意，但未獲回應，高院為此勸鄭要尊重家屬意願，考量鄭有心改過，改判徒刑15年，褫奪公權10年。案經最高法院駁回上訴定讞。

【張勵德／台北報導】中央氣象局今晚發布輕颱潭美海上陸上颱風警報，截至晚間11時30分為止，潭美颱風中心位置在台北東南東方530公里海面上，以時速20轉23公里向西北西移動，持續朝北台灣近海直撲而來。由於颱風強度略微增強且暴風圈有擴大的現象，氣象局擴大陸上警戒區域，包括台中以北、南投、宜蘭、花蓮等地區。
 
氣象局提醒，今晚起東北部山區及西半部山區有超大豪雨或大豪雨，東北部、西半部地區及花東山區有豪雨或大豪雨，花東地區及外島澎湖、金門、馬祖有大雨發生機會，民眾要特別注意坍方、落石、土石流及山洪爆發，低窪地區要慎防淹水。
 
到晚間23時為止，桃園觀音鄉累積雨量已達251毫米，新北市林口也有225毫米。

【林泊志／宜蘭報導】迎接2014年5合1選舉，力拼全面執政，民進黨宜蘭縣黨部今天宣布，提名作業正式啟動！包括鄉鎮市長、議員參選名單，將於11月中 旬出爐，縣黨部主委黃適超說，會依民主機制推出人選，佈局選戰，也不排除以策略聯盟方式，結合無黨籍人士共同努力。民進黨宜蘭縣黨部主委黃適超指出，為因 應明年選戰，6月15日即成立選舉對策小組，巡迴10鄉鎮聽許基層心聲，制訂相關作業規劃與時程；9月2日將公布，9月9日至17日受理登記，10月起分 批推出最佳候選人。

至於較受矚目的宜蘭市長選舉，當前傳出現任議員江聰淵及宜蘭小英之友會會長黃建財等人有意角逐，若協商1人出線，但加 上國民黨候選人及表態參選的無黨籍議員賴瑞鼎，將成三強鼎立，讓藍營作收漁翁之利，不利民進黨選戰佈局。黃適超說，會循民主機制推出候選人，也會積極協調 賴支持民進黨的候選人；若無果，仍會派候選人應戰，他強調「沒有缺席的理由！」

【綜合報導】美國眼藥水公司妙蓮(Murine)最新一份調查發現，男人第一眼見到女人，並非將目光放在其胸部，而是她的眼睛，繼而是笑容，第3才到胸部。大部份受訪女性也表示會先留意男性眼睛，之後是笑容，第3是身高。

妙蓮公司各針對1千名男性和女性進行調查，他們表示「眼睛」會被重視的原因，是因為眼神傳遞無限情感，自然容易得到異性優先注意。

男性留意女性部位順序為： 1. 眼 2. 笑容 3. 胸部 4. 頭髮 5. 體重 6. 腳 7. 衣著品味 8. 臀部 9. 身高 10. 皮膚
