【於慶中／綜合外電報導】非洲國家辛巴威的萬基國家公園(Hwange National Park)，最近1個月內發生大象屠殺，近100隻大象遭氰化物毒死，象牙也被搶走，當局已逮捕涉案嫌犯。

當地警方表示，獵象集團在大象飲水的水池投放劇毒氰化物，等大象被毒死後，再伺機取走象牙。官員表示，已有最少有91頭大象遇害。大象飲下毒水後，氰化物進入血液，大象很快便會死亡，同時會加速屍體分解，被毒死的大象會出現骨肉分離的慘狀。辛巴威政府一度考慮動用國家軍隊來對付獵象集團。

【黃揚明／台北報導】立法院今午舉行本會期紀律委員會第一次會議，由8位召委推舉本會期4個月份的輪值召委，最後採抽籤方式進行，3位民進黨立委都抽中輪值召委，邱志偉抽到10月、陳明文抽到11月，薛凌抽到12月，國民黨立委僅呂學樟抽到明年1月的輪值召委。

不過原訂中午12點舉行的會議，到了12點20分，仍然只有薛凌、陳明文、邱志偉與國民黨立委陳根德到場，因人數已過半，原本3位民進黨立委要推舉陳明文擔任主席先開會，但陳根德說：「不要害我，等一下啦！」12點26分，國民黨立委陳鎮湘、張慶忠、呂學樟、江惠貞才到場，隨後才開始進行會議。因在場朝野立委對推舉輪值召委無法達成共識，最後採抽籤決定輪值召委。
