啃蘋果？JDI砸1700億日圓建6代面板廠

看準手機面板市場需求成長以及因應先端小尺寸面板需求持續擴大，日本顯示器（Japan Display Inc，JDI）宣布將投資1700 億日圓興建6代面板（1500x1850mm）廠，完工後屆時JDI的產能將可增加20%。市場認為，JDI加碼投資，主要是為了因應蘋果的訂單所需而擴產。

JDI指出，新廠位於日本石川縣白山市，新廠預估將在 2016 年啟用量產，月產能為2.5萬片玻璃基板，預估包含土地、廠房以及生產設備的投資額將達約 1700 億日圓，這座廠也是 JDI 成立以來所興建的第1座工廠，對於JDI大動作投資新廠，日本媒體認為這座新廠，蘋果（Apple）將負擔大部分投資額，不過被JDI否認。（吳秀樺／台北報導）
