英冠／里茲聯陷危機　球迷向影帝羅素克洛求救

英冠球隊里茲聯（Leeds United）正歷經一個動盪的賽季，去年12月1日，聯盟取得里茲聯總裁Massimo Cellino被義大利法院證實有逃稅行為的相關證據，並取消其資格至2015年4月10日，Cellino返回義大利後，為表示捍衛名聲的決心聲稱禁令結束也不再回來。

一名里茲聯粉絲Sam Wild在推特上向澳洲影帝Russell Crowe求救：「拜託買下里茲聯，急需幫助！！」，沒想到Russell竟予以回應，Russell轉推這條推文並爭取支持：「有人也認為這是個好主意嗎？」

Russell Crowe對職業運動伸出援手已有首例，06年Russell與生意夥伴Peter Holmes曾出資200萬美元買下一支聯盟式橄欖球職業隊南雪梨野兔隊，幫助該球隊度過財務危機。

Russel在社群網站上推薦粉絲們去觀看他與野兔隊的紀錄片，意圖令人玩味，背後動機也對掙扎中的英冠球隊釋出一絲絲希望。

里茲聯的粉絲團體正積極與Russell Crowe聯繫，希望能與影帝達成進一步的共識。
