馬克加索（Marc Gasol）的火鍋封阻太陽的絕殺，灰熊最終以102：101險勝。

終場前4秒，傑夫-格林（Jeff Green）關鍵2+1，灰熊1分超前，馬克加索封蓋馬基夫莫里斯（Markieff Morris）最後一擊，灰熊獲得7連勝，康利（Mike Conley）23分，格林12分7籃板，馬克加索15分6籃板8助攻，蘭多夫（Zach Randolph）19分9籃板。

太陽因16次失誤丟掉20分，2連敗。替補的湯瑪斯（Isaiah Thomas）24分均在下半場得到，布萊德索（Eric Bledsoe）21分7籃板8助攻，德拉季奇（Goran Dragic）15分。

兩隊一直打得難解難分。

第三節結束前，灰熊連得3分，以77：72領先，第四節再以82：74拉開差距，不過太陽此後三分外線連連命中，打出一波12：5攻勢，只以86：87落後。灰熊突然陷入困境，而太陽氣勢正旺，連得8分，以98：91領先。終場前1分12秒時，蘭多夫連投帶兩得4分，灰熊以98：101落後。馬克加索關鍵時刻兩罰僅1中，不過太陽未能把握良機。終場前4.5秒，格林搶下進攻籃板投籃命中，還造成了犯規，連投帶罰拿下3分，灰熊以102：101超前。太陽馬基夫莫里斯最後時刻出手，但遭到馬克加索蓋火鍋，灰熊驚險過關。
