辛巴威耶誕節前發行小額硬幣

辛巴威央行於耶誕節前發行的辛巴威特殊硬幣已開始流通。

辛巴威2009年因嚴重通膨放棄該國貨幣，主要以美元與南非貨幣蘭特計價。但因這些貨幣流通的硬幣較少，商店通常以糖果或筆找零。

央行表示無意發行辛巴威元，新硬幣名為債券硬幣（bond coin），將釘住美元。目前發行價值1000萬美元的硬幣，未來總發行量不會超過5000萬美元。面額分別是1分、5分、10分、25分。

分析師指出，硬幣短缺，導致物價升高，零售商常化零為整。
