一代典範金融家政院褒揚富邦蔡萬才

行政院會昨（20）日通過，褒揚已故的富邦集團創辦人蔡萬才，政院認為，蔡萬才畢生以誠信立業，是「一代典範金融家」。

蔡萬才出生於1929年，10月5日與世長辭，享壽86。政院表示，蔡萬才在1961年執掌台灣第一家民營保險公司國泰產險，也就是今天的富邦產險，畢生以誠信立業，重視風險管理，引領產業發展，堪稱一代典範金融家。而他在1972~1983年擔任立委時，協助推動國賠法立法，貢獻卓著。

政院強調，蔡萬才熱心公益，陸續成立富邦慈善、富邦文教與藝術基金會，也擔任過中華民國警察之友總會理事長，長期扮演「社會發電機」。
