偷渡問題嚴重　今年逾4千人喪命

國際移民組織(IOM)最新研究顯示，偷渡移民情況日益嚴重，今年以來已經造成4077人喪生，其中半數以上是企圖偷渡到歐洲的移民。

調查研究針對過去14年來，國際上有統計數字的偷渡移民資料所進行。根據統計，過去14年來，超過4萬名偷渡客喪生，其中一半以上是在前往歐洲的路上死亡，而光是今年以來就有4077人喪命。

IOM指出，這只是官方取得的數據，相信真正的死亡人數遠高於4萬人。 由於偷渡移民情況日益嚴重，IOM也呼籲國際社會重視，並全面打擊人蛇集團。地中海是偷渡客喪命人數最多的地區，今年以來，光是義大利政府救起與拘捕的偷渡客就超過11萬2千人，幾乎是去年的3倍之多。（國際中心／綜合報導）
