iPhone發表日終於確認，蘋果已於美國時間28日正式發出邀請函，如同之前網路流傳的消息，就是在9月9日。

邀請函上除了發表會日期之外，還有一句「Wish we could say more.」（希望我們能講得更多），猜測除了iPhone、iOS 8之外，應該還會有其他新產品現身，或許是智慧型手錶iWatch。

這次發表會地點選在加州矽谷古柏迪諾市（Cupertino）Flint Center，不但場地比較大，同時也是1999年前蘋果發表第一代Mac的地方，具有特殊意義，發表會中出現新產品的可能性，又多了幾分。

根據去年iPhone 5S上市時間來推測，iPhone 6可能在發表會後10天左右上市，而根據大陸、德國方面流出的消息交叉推論，應該會是在9月19日。
