約旦宣佈今年MERS死者首例

繼沙烏地阿拉伯爆發中東呼吸綜合症冠狀病毒（MERS）後，約旦昨天宣布自2012年以來因MERS致命的首例，MERS被認為比2003年重創亞洲的嚴重急性呼吸道症候群（SARS）還致命，但專家認為其傳染力較SARS低。
 
據約旦媒體報導，該國在2012年曾有兩名MERS致死的病例，但其後都沒有再出現。不過今年2月有一名罹患肺炎MERS的56歲貧血病患，在住院期間不幸身亡。法新社稱，MERS的致死率超過40%，目前仍無疫苗可以防治。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
