「營運總監=母親」　顧癱夫育3子女

母親真偉大！母親節前一周，基隆市議會與聯合獅子會昨天上午，舉辦「模範自強母親表揚」活動，從家扶中心中選出7位自強母親，儘管在艱困、充滿挑戰的環境下，仍一肩扛起責任照顧家人的任務。
 
來自馬來西亞的華僑的莫女士，來台結婚後育有3子女，11年前丈夫因病中風癱瘓，一夕之間失去經濟支柱，莫女回憶說，「當下很想放棄一切，逃回馬來西亞！」為了3名子女的將來，身兼父職將3人撫養長大。
 
12歲的大兒子，看到母親經常帶父親去醫院復健，在家中照料的過程繁瑣，立志「要當物理治療師」，要親手治癒父親，替媽媽分擔解憂。「莫媽媽是最強大的營運總監」，民眾引用網路瘋傳的外國母親節影片，盛讚莫女承受無薪、卻要精通18般武藝，如醫學、金融與廚藝等，無微不至得照顧經營4人「家庭企業」。（陳偉周／基隆報導）
