詹詠然在馬來西亞公開賽女單第一輪出局，在先勝一盤的情況下遭到Donna Vekic

逆轉，以6-3、4-6、1-6敗下陣來。

總獎金250000美元的馬來西亞公開賽，隸屬WTA國際巡迴賽等級，謝淑薇曾於2012年奪下女單冠軍。

來自克羅埃西亞的Vekic年僅17歲，去年的澳網與美網打進第二輪，曾在兩場WTA巡迴賽打進到決賽，此次名列大會第七種子。

詹詠然與Vekic是第一次交手，這場比賽曾因雨一度中斷，第二盤輸掉後，詹詠然第三盤被一路橫掃，在0-5落後下無法力挽狂瀾，最終無緣晉級。
